On November 4, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on occasion of its 35th anniversary (November 7, 1981 - November 7, 2016).
Welcoming the GCRA leader included Most Venerable Vice President of the Central VBS’s Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu and Buddhist dignitaries from the VBS Central Northern Office.
While extending congratulatory greetings to the VBS’s Executive Council, Discernment Council and large numbers of Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in Vietnam, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà expressed hope that the VBS would further promote its fine traditions in all fields, with better education and training for young Buddhist monks, nuns and followers so they can make more practical contributions to the country.
