The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) opened on May 28-29 a conference for guiding Protestant practices according to legal provisions for 200 leaders of congregations of 19 Protestant sects in Gia Lai province.

During the event, Head of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Division Thiều Thị Hương presented topics on the belief and religious life in the country, the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on belief and religion, including the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and the Decree 95 taking effect from March 1, 2024 detailing articles and measures to implement the law on belief & religion replacing the Decree 162.

During the event, leaders of Protestant congregations had also engaged in discussion of advantages and difficulties in practicing the religion, as well as practical issues relating the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion and the Land Law and other policies relating religion in the locality.
