GCRA holds disseminating conference on new cybersecurity law

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on October 16 a conference for disseminating the new law on cybersecurity to officials and employees of the committee.

The disseminating event focused on the current situation of cybersecurity in Vietnam and worldwide countries and key contents of the cybersecurity law which were presented by Major General Deputy Head of the Department for Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security Lê Minh Mạnh.

Addressing the conference, GCRA Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng emphasized the powerful and comprehensive impact of the cybersecurity to all fields of the social life as well as public security. The chairman also stressed the need for timely disseminating provisions of the law to all GCRA officials and staffers and to religious dignitaries, deacons and followers.

The new cybersecurity law has 7 chapters with 43 articles and will come into effect from June 1, 2019.
