During the conference, Director of the GCRA’s Department of Organization and Personnel Trần Thị Minh Nga presented key and new contents of the Decision No. 32 dated on August 03, 2018 of the Prime Minister on regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the GCRA under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 32/2018/QĐ-TTg, the GCRA is a body equivalent to a general department under the MOHA and has the function of assisting the MOHA’s Minister in exercising the State management on belief and religion, organizing the implementation of policies and laws on belief and religion in the whole country, providing public services in the fields of belief and religion according to the provisions of law.

The GCRA now has 14 departments and divisions, they are: Departments of Buddhist Affairs, Catholic Affairs, Protestant Affairs, Caodai Affairs, Belief and Other Religions, International Relation, Legislation Inspection, Organization Personnel and Southern Religious Affairs, the Office, the Institute for Religious Policy Studies, the Religious Affairs Newspaper, the Information Centre and the Religious Publishing House.
