On November 27-28, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held in An Giang province’s Phu Tan town a conference for disseminating religious laws to deacons and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism.
Attending the conference included Director of the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department Nguyễn Khắc Huy, Chairman of An Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Nguyên Châu, and Vice Chairman of the Central Hoa Hao Buddhism’s Executive Committee Nguyễn Huy Diễm, and over 400 deacons and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Huy stressed that the State always attaches its importance to the work of disseminating laws to dignitaries, deacons and followers of the religious organizations in order to ensure the legitimate rights of people as well as performances of their civic obligations toward the homeland and country.
On behalf of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Huy Diễm thanked the GCRA for its due attention and support in organizing the dissemination conference. He also expressed hope for further favorable conditions for Hoa Hao Buddhism’s dignitaries, deacons and followers to understand State laws in general and legal documents on belief and religion in particular, including their legitimate rights and civic duties.
