A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Deputy Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đào Thị Đượm has paid visits to several Catholic dioceses in Northern region ahead of Christmas 2020.
The delegation visited and met with Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng, Apostolic Administrator of Phat Diem diocese; Bishop Joseph Châu Ngọc Tri of Lang Son diocese; Bishop Pierre Nguyễn Văn Viên of Hung Hoa diocese; Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường of Thanh Hoa diocese and several priests of Catholic parishes.
During the visits, while conveyed Christmas greetings from the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng to dignitaries and parishioners of Catholic dioceses, Deputy Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đào Thị Đượm also highlighted practical contributions made by Catholic dioceses for social charities and the Covid-19 prevention works this year.
Dignitaries of Catholic dioceses took the chance to thank the GCRA for its due attentions and guidance extended to religious affairs of Catholic dioceses over the past years.
