On September 13, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng received a delegation from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Baptist Church at the office of the GCRA’s Southern Religious Affairs Department.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng presented documents on official recognition of results of the Church’ 3rd general congress, including the Church’s new name of the Vietnam Baptist Church, replacing its previous name of the Vietnam Baptist Church (Southern).
The Vice Chairman also took the chance to congratulate the Church on its success of the general congress and extend congratulations to dignitaries newly elected to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Baptist Church (for the 2016-2020 tenure).
