GCRA appraises project on implementation of state’s policies on religion for 2011-2020 period

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on February 28 a meeting for the final assessment of the project on the implementation of the state’s policies on religion & belief in the 2011-2020 period.  

The meeting was attended by six members of the appraisal council headed by Prof., Dr. Đỗ Quang Hưng of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University, and representatives of the GCRA’s departments.

During the meeting, Dr. Lê Thị Liên, Director of the Institute for Religious Policy Studies under the GCRA read a brief report on the implementation of the state’s policies on religion & beliefs in 2011-2020 period, targets and tasks for the 2021-2025 period, and the working plan for the next five years.

Members of the appraisal council spoke highly of project’s results and stated the project has basically met set objectives and reflected the practical implementation of the state’s policies on religion & beliefs over past ten years.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Vũ Chiến Thắng, Chairman of the GCRA highly appreciated devoted comments by members of the appraisal council, especially the views of changing trends of the religion & belief and the state management on religion in the next ten years.

As for the final evaluation, the council gave the project an excellence ranking.
