First Caodai Institute established in Vietnam

The establishment of the first ever Caodai Institute was officially announced at a ceremony held on Sept. 28 in Da Nang city.  

The ceremony was organized by the Caodai Missionary Church’s Standing Committee.

Attending the ceremony included Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Phạm Dũng, Director of Caodai Affairs Department under the GCRA Nguyễn Đắc Tuấn, Vice Chairman of Da Nang city Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Bảy and local authority’s representatives.

Participants of the Caodai Missionary Church at the ceremony included Archbishop Chairman of the Church’s Standing Committee Thượng Hậu Thanh, and a large number of followers in Da Nang city.

The Caodai Missionary Church was established in 1956, and the Church currently has over 50 thousand followers, with nearly 70 oratories in 18 cities and provinces across the country, but mostly concentrated in Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.

The Caodai Institute under the Caodai Misionary Church is the first Caodai training school ever established in Vietnam.

The establishment of Caodai Institute reflects the consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State on respecting and protecting freedom of belief and religion for every Vietnamese.
