Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng hosted on January 3 a warm reception for a visiting delegation from the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) led by Pastor President Nguyễn Hữu Mạc ahead of Lunar New Year 2020.

During the visit, Pastor President Nguyễn Hữu Mạc extended Tet greetings to GCRA’s officials and staff, and shared with the host the Church’s activities in 2019. The Pastor President noted that, thanks to guidance and support from the GCRA’s and local authorities, religious practices of the Church’s members have been more stable.
Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng thanked the ECVN delegation for its visit ahead of the Vietnam traditional New Year 2020 and shared with the guests the socio-economic development of the country in 2019.
While praising the evangelical church for its contributions to the country, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng wished the Pastor President, pastors and all members of the evangelical Church a happy and successful New Year 2020.
