The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the Home Affairs Department in Kon Tum province held on September 28-29 a conference for disseminating state policies and laws on belief and religion.
Present at the event taking place in Kon Tum city included Director of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương, Deputy Director of the Home Affairs in Kon Tum Nguyễn Thành Trung, Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in the province Vũ Quang Dũng, and about 170 Protestant dignitaries and deacons in the locality.
During the conference, the Protestant affairs department delivered contents on state policies and laws on belief & religion, the Law on Belief and Religious 2016 and Decree 162 detailing a number of articles of the law on belief and religion and prescribing measures for its implementation, with focuses on legal provisions on the registration for group activities for Protestant sects and provisions of the Law on Land 2013 relating to religion.
The conference also provided discussions and explanations on practical issues relating to religious affairs and the implementation of the new religious law in the province.
