On occasion of the working trip in Dien Bien province, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng on March 8 visited Linh Quang pagoda located in Thanh Nua commune of Dien Bien district and met with the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in the province.

The deputy minister was welcomed by Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, General Secretary of the Central VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the executive committee of the VBS chapter in Dien Bien province.
During the visiting reception, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng praised practical contributions made by the VBS chapter in the province in the Covid-19 prevention and supporting disadvantaged locals affected by the pandemic over the last year.

Speaking with the guest, Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện thanked the visiting delegation and informed the deputy minister about preparations for the upcoming 3rd provincial VBS congress 2022-2027 tenure.
Earlier, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng has visited and offered incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at National Martyrs Cemetery A1 located in the province.
