The Deputy Minister accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng, Chairman of Thai Binh provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Tiến Thành and Director of the provincial Home Affairs Department Phạm Văn Nghiêm was welcomed by Bishop of Thai Binh diocese Pierre Nguyễn Văn Đệ.

During the visit, while extending greetings to Bishop Pierre Nguyễn Văn Đệ, and Catholics of Thai Binh diocese ahead of Christmas 2021, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng highly appreciated practical contributions made by the diocese and local Catholics to the Covid-19 prevention and social charities helping disadvantaged people badly affected by the pandemic in the locality in the year 2021.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng also met with seminarians of Thanh Tam Thai Binh Seminary. Speaking with the guests, Bishop Pierre Nguyễn Văn Đệ took the chance to thank the visiting delegation and favorable conditions made by the Home Affairs Ministry, the Government Religious Committee and Thai Binh provincial authority for the diocese to establish the seminary.
