Department of Internal Security congratulates Government Religious Committee on 65th founding anniversary

Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng hosted a reception for a visiting delegation from the Department of Internal Security under the Ministry of Public Security headed by Major General Bùi Thanh Hà on occasion of the 65th anniversary of the GCRA and the state governance sector on belief and religion (August 2, 1955).
At the visiting reception, on behalf of the internal security department, Major General Deputy Director of the security department Bùi Thanh Hà extended congratulations to the GCRA and the state sector on administration of religion and belief on achievements recorded in the past 65 years.
Major General Bùi Thanh Hà also extended warm greetings to the leadership and all officials and staff of the government religious committee on occasion of its 65th founding anniversary, and took the chance to thank the GCRA for its coordination in ensuring public security and order over the past years.
Speaking with the guests, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng briefed the developing history of the central body on administration of belief and religions in the past 65 years, informed results of the state governance on belief and religion over the past years as well as working plans in the coming time.
While appreciating the Department of Internal Security’s congratulating visit, Dr. Vũ Chiến Thắng expressed hope for receiving further active collaboration from the internal security department in protecting the right to freedom of belief and religion of Vietnamese people and ensuring order and security for practices of belief and religion in the country
The government religious committee leader also asked the internal security department to closely working with the GCRA in proactively detecting and preventing activities of religious extremists in localities, as well as in encouraging religious organizations and individuals to strictly undertake measures for preventing further outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
