On December 29, at the headquarters of the central Vietnames Women’s Union (VWU), Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn and Vice Chairwoman of the Central VWU Bùi Thị Hòa co-chaired a conference to review the coordination program on mobilizing work amongst religious women 2015.
Attending the event included representatives from the GCRA and the VWU.
The conference reviewed results of the coordination program 2015 of the two agencies and mapped out the coordination activities for 2016. It’s reported that in 2015, the coordination program was implemented from central to grassroots levels; the religious affairs committee and women association in 61 out of 63 provinces and cities signed the coordination program for 2013-2017 period.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn and Vice Chairwoman Bùi Thị Hòa called on the two agencies to step up dialogues and exchanges with religious women in order to better understand their needs and aspirations.
