Conference enhancing security-defense knowledge for key religious in 2nd militarily region held in Dien Bien

About 100 religious dignitaries and deacons of religious organizations in Vietnam’s 2nd Military Region have participated in a conference on security-defense knowledge opened on October 24 in the northwestern city of Dien Bien Phu.
The conference was co-organized by the Central Security & Defense Education Council and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA).
Attending the event’s opening ceremony included GCRA’s Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng, Senior Lieutenant General Phạm Ngọc Minh, who is Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Head of the Standing Board of the Central Council for Defense-Security Education, and representative leaders of Dien Bien provincial government.
Addressing the opening of the conference, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng affirmed the important roles of religious dignitaries in encouraging followers to make contributions to national security and defense. The GCRA leader also expressed hope that the conference would provide useful and update knowledge on national security and defense to religious participants, and participating religious dignitaries and deacons would later educate and encourage followers of religions to make practical contributions to the cause of national security and defense in the country.
The conference of security-defense knowledge for religious participants will run until October 26.
