Workshop on environmental protection and disaster risks reduction for religious partners held in Hue

A workshop on environmental protection, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction for religious partners was held on November 24 -27 in Hue City.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, in collaboration with the Nordic Assistance to Vietnam (NAV).
Participating in the environmental training included representatives of religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodaism, Mormon, etc. Vice Chairman of the VFF Central Committee Lê Bá Trình also attended the opening ceremony of the event.
The four-day training workshop focused on current environmental situation in Vietnam, existing laws on environmental protection and prevention of natural calamities, waste management in urban and rural areas, community-based disaster risk management, and models for environment protection and climate change response.
