Over 300 delegates who are key members of social-political, religious organizations and ethnic communities from Vinh Long province participated in a conference on the history of Vietnam’s Southern land held on November 23.
The conference was co-organized by the provincial Party Committee and the Southwest Steering Committee, with the aim to enhance understanding of the development history of the Southern region amongst local communities, including religious groups.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Southwest Steering Committee Trương Minh Thống encouraged dignitaries and deacons of religions and prestigious people of ethnic groups in the locality to actively propagate the Southern land’s history to ethnic-religious people, especially those in remote and mountainous areas, contributing to defend and develop the country.
