Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship to receive UNESCO's recognition certificate

A ceremony to honor the Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity will take place at the Phu Giay relic complex, Nam Dinh province on April 2.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism planned to receive the UNESCO’s certificate for Mother Goddess worship as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in Phu Day relic complex, as it is a well-known center of Mother Goddess worship in the province. In coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nam Dinh provincial authorities has established a organizing committee to prepare for the ceremony.

According to Director of Museum in Nam Dinh province Nguyễn Văn Thư, the ceremony will consist of two parts of practicing rites and art performances, and be broadcast live on VTV, NTV.
