On November 9, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn hosted a meeting with a delegation of dignitaries and deacons of religions from Vinh Phuc province on occasion of their visit to Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Trần Thanh Mẫn expressed hope that the religions would continue promoting their fine values, and under guidance of religious dignitaries, religious followers would further join hands for socio-economic development of the country.
The VFF leaders also suggested the VFF Committee in Vinh Phuc province should coordinate with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment to ensure worshipping facilities for religious establishments.
Vinh Phuc province has three main religions, including Buddhism with 417 pagodas, Catholicism with 47 parish churches and 52 chapels, and a branch of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North).
