On October 4, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyễn Thiện Nhân visited the Catholic family of the Knight of the Grand Cross John Baptiste Lê Đức Thịnh.
At the meeting, while extending best wishes to Mr. Lê Đức Thịnh and his family, President Nguyễn Thiện Nhân offered the VFF Central Committee’s support for his medical treatment.
Speaking to the guest, Knight of the Grand Cross Lê Đức Thịnh shared with the President that, as being not only a Catholic but also a Vietnamese, he always wishes to join the whole people of the nation in together building a prosperous country of Vietnam.
Catholic Lê Đức Thịnh was granted the title “Knight of the Grand Cross” and his wife Mrs. Anna Nguyễn Thị Kim Yến also accorded as “Lady of the Knight of the Grand Cross” in 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI for their contributions to the Vietnam Catholic Church.
