Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF) Ngô Sách Thực hosted on January 16 a reception for a visiting delegation of Hung Hoa diocese, ahead of Lunar New Year 2019.
The delegation was led by Former Auxiliary Bishop of Hung Hoa diocese cum Bishop of Vinh diocese Alphonse Nguyễn Hữu Long.
During the reception, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực spoke highly of practical contributions of Hung Hoa diocese for socio-economic development in the country, especially activities for environmental protection, climate change adaptation and social charity work over the past years.
Speaking with the hosts, Former Auxiliary Bishop Alphonse Nguyễn Hữu Long thanked the VFF for its due attention to Hung Hoa diocese, and expressed hope that the VFF would always promote its role for strengthening religious unity and supporting social and religious activities of the diocese.
On the occasion, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực extended New Year greetings to Bishop Alphonse Nguyễn Hữu Long, and pastors, priests and followers of Hung Hoa diocese.
