Ca Mau provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee held on Oct. 17 an annual meeting with representatives of the two Protestant sects in the locality.
Attending the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Đoàn Tấn Sỹ, Pastor Chairman of the Protestant Representative Committee under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) in Ca Mau province Đỗ Lê Hoàng Bảo Nhân, Pastor representing the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church Nguyễn Thành Trung and representatives of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.
During the meeting, representatives of Protestant sects reflected advantages and disadvantages in Protestant practices over the past years.
Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Đoàn Tấn Sỹ praised Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers for their contributions to socio-economic development in the province over the past years. He also called on Protestants to engage more in social-charitable activities and actively participate in patriotic movements and local campaigns for making practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the country.
