The Prime Minister signed a decision on March 29, 2017 approving a project for restoration and upgrade of Nguyễn Du special national relic site in Ha Tinh province’s Nghi Xuan district in the first phase.
The project for upgrading the memorial site will be implemented in four years (2017-2020) including the restoration of original sites such as Truong Ninh pagoda, tombs and worshiping houses of Nguyễn Trọng and Nguyễn Nghiễm, etc, and construction of new supporting facilities such as service area, transport system, road, parking areas, etc.
The project aimed to preserve the memorial site dedicated to Great Poet Nguyễn Du, as well as promote cultural tourism in the locality.
