The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) opened a training conference on updated religious information and the new Law on Belief and Religion for local officials nationwide on June 5-8 in Lam Dong province’s Da Lat city.
Attending the event included over 300 participants who are key officials of district and provincial levels across the country.
During the event, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and reporters presented key contents of State’s policies on belief and religion, the new Law on Belief and Religion passed by the National Assembly in November last year, and updated information on the religious life in the country, the land law and issues related to religion in Vietnam. Chairman of Lam Dong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức also took the chance to share experiences on state administration on belief and religion in Lam Dong province.
During the training conference, the participants visited Truc Lam Zen Monastery and Da Lat Cathedral church for actual experience and learning about the religious life in the province.
