On December 15, Tra Vinh provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education in collaboration with the provincial Patriotic Monks Solidarity Association held a training conference for disseminating related laws to Khmer Buddhists.
Attending the event included over 220 monks and deacons from pagodas of the Khmer Theravada Buddhism in Tra Cu district.
Contents covered during the disseminating conference included the ethnic and religious policy of the Party and State, roles, responsibilities and functions of pagoda abbots, regulations of the Khmer Theravada Buddhist pagoda’s management board…
After the event, Khmer Buddhist dignitaries and deacons are encouraged to disseminate these State laws and policies for Buddhist followers in the locality, contributing to strengthen religious unity in the national unity bloc, as well as ensure public security and social order in the locality.
