Towards the establishment of Protestant churches in Vietnam Northwest

An interdisciplinary delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn had a working trip to two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai from October 10-13.

The delegation’s visit aimed to implement a plan for approving the establishment of four Protestant churches in the two localities.

During the working trip, the delegation had working meetings with representative leaders of four Protestant groups and local authorities in Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai provinces on preparatory work for establishing Protestant churches.

Speaking at working meetings, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn confirmed that the establishment of the four churches would be implemented in accordance with the laws and contribute to meet legitimate needs of Protestant dignitaries and believers in the two localities. He also called on local authorities in the two provinces to create favorable conditions and provide proper guidance for Protestant practices conducted in accordance with state laws.
