Tien Giang provincial authorities pay Christmas visit to Christian Churches

On December 20, a delegation of Tien Giang provincial government led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lê Hồng Quang paid Christmas visits to Christian dignitaries in the province. 

The delegation included representatives of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Committee for Religious Affairs.

During the visits, the delegation met with Bishop of My Tho Diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, Priest Vicar General cum Director of My Tho Diocese’s pastoral centre Paul Trần Kỳ Minh, the provincial General of the Sisters of Saint Paul de Chartres under My Tho diocese Nun Nguyễn Thị Tri, Priest Head of the provincial Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics Joseph Phạm Thanh Minh and Pastor Chairman of the Protestant Representative Committee under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) Trần Thiên Tứ.

At the visiting receptions, while extending Christmas wishes to the religious dignitaries and followers of Catholicism and Protestantism in the province, Deputy Secretary Lê Hồng Quang praised Christian dignitaries and followers for their contributions to social movements in the locality.
