Tien Giang province: Religious Committee pays visit to Buddhist school on occasion of Vietnam Teacher’s Day

 A delegation from Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led by Vice Chairman Trần Văn Khuê paid a visit on Nov. 19 to the Buddhist College under the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on occasion of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day (November 20).

Welcoming the delegation included Most Venerable Thích Hoằng Đức, Member of the VBS Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial VBS, local Buddhist dignitaries, and monks and nuns studying at the Buddhist College.

During the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Trần Văn Khuê extended greetings to the Management Board and Buddhist teachers of the College. He also praised the school’s achievements in five Buddhist training courses opened at the Buddhist school over the past years.

On behalf of Tien Giang provincial VBS and the College’s Management Board, Venerable Thích Quảng Cường thanked the religious committee for its visit and congratulatory gift on occasion of the traditional day for teachers in Vietnam. He also pledged to, together with the College’s Management Board, relentlessly improve and promote Buddhist teachings at the school, contributing to better training of Buddhist clergy in Vietnam in general and Tien Giang province in particular.
