Dignitaries of religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism and Caodaism attended a meeting held by Tien Giang provincial leaders on Feb. 7.
Attending the meeting were Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Trần Thế Ngọc, leaders of the provincial People’s Committee, local authorities’ representatives and over 300 delegates who are religious dignitaries, intellectuals, artists and overseas Vietnamese in the locality.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Trần Thanh Đức briefed the socio-economic situation of the province in 2014 and acknowledged important contributions made by religions in the maintenance of political security and social order and safety.
