Tien Giang provincial authorities held a conference for dissemination of the law on election of the National Assembly’s deputies and members of People’s Councils to key dignitaries of religions in the province on April 25.
Attending the conference held in the province’s My Tho city were about 150 religious dignitaries in the locality.
During the conference, the representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented the current laws on election of members of the National Assembly and local-level People’s Councils for the period 2016-2021 including position, role and responsibilities of National Assembly and People's Council deputies; rights and responsibilities of voters, etc.
