Thanh Hoa province: models developed to attract Catholic women’s participation in local movements

To attract Catholic women’s participation the women union in Thach Thanh district’s Thanh Long commune established various club models for supporting local women and developing the locality.
The club models, including “Inter-generation” “Catholic youth” and “Happy family”, etc attracted the participation of 79.8% of local women. The “Inter-generation” club drew 50 women members.
Through these clubs, Catholic women better raised their awareness of the Ordinance on belief and religion and State laws, shared experiences in family businesses, raising of children. The “Inter-generation” club members have saved 60 million VND and helped 15 members with this saving.
