Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Đậu Đình Minh led a delegation at a meeting held on March 14 with the province’s Tuyen Hoa district authorities on the implementation of the Party’s resolution on religious affairs.
The meeting focused on assessment and discussion of results of the 15-year implementation of the Party’s Resolution No 25 of the Party Central Committee on religious affairs adopted in 2003. In addition. Several comments have been raised for better handling of practical issues concerning the current religious life in Tuyen Hoa district and the state administration on religious affairs in the district.
Currently, religious followers in Tuyen Hoa district in the central province of Quang Binh are mainly Catholics and Buddhists. The district is home to over 17,400 Catholic followers, accounting for 21% of the district population and residing in 19 out of all 20 communes in the district, with 4 parishes and 21 communities. Buddhism in the district has over 500 followers with two pagodas.
