On September 17, 2014, a delegation from the Southwestern Steering Committee led by Major-General Nguyễn Đoàn Kết, Director of Security and Defense Affairs Department visited and presented gifts to Khmer Buddhist dignitaries, retired officials and families under the special-care policy in Soc Trang province on occasion of Sene Dolta (filial piety) festival 2014 of Khmer people.
Joining the delegation were Mr. Lâm Văn Mẫn, Alternative Member of the Central Party’s Committee, Vice-Chairman of Soc Trang provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from provincial departements and agencies. This year’s Sene Dolta festival takes place from September 22-24. Sene Dolta is one of the Khmer’s three big annual festivals; the others are Chol Chnam Thmay and Oc Om Bok festivals.
