The delegation was led by Deputy Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Department under the Steering Committee for the Southwest Nguyễn Vũ Đức, and joint by representatives of Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. 

During the visiting reception, Deputy Director Nguyễn Vũ Đức extended greetings to the Islamic Cham community on occasion of Roya Haji festival. He also encouraged locals of ethnic Cham to make further contributions to the socio-economic development in Tien Giang province in particular and the southwest region in general.

On the occasion, the Southwest Steering Committee delegation also presented gifts to local residents of Islamic Cham people in My Tho city.
