The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Chairmen of the Southwest Steering Committee Trần Phi Hổ, Dương Quốc Xuân and Director of Department of Ethic and Religious Affairs under the Steering Committee Hà Hữu Liền, and attended by representatives from concerning ministries and central agencies and leaders from 13 provincial religious committees in the Southwestern region.

At the meeting, Director Hà Hữu Liền highlighted the historical development of the state sector on religious affairs over past sixty years. He also briefed current religious situation as well as reviewed results of state work on religious affairs in the region.
