Soc Trang province: training conference on clean water and environmental hygiene held for religious dignitaries and prestigious people in Khmer communities

On August 27, the central Committee for Ethnic Affairs in coordination with Soc Trang provincial Committee for Ethnic Affairs organized a conference for capacity building, disseminating and inspecting the implementation of “National target Program for clean water and environmental hygiene in agricultural regions” in ethnic minorities areas for local officials working on ethnic affairs and religious dignitaries, pagoda management boards and prestigious people in ethnic communities in the province.
The organization of the conference aimed to improve the understanding of the National target Program for clean water and environmental hygiene by local officials working on ethnic affairs, Buddhist monks and prestigious people in ethnic Khmer communities, so they may have sufficient knowledge to supervise projects for clean water and environmental hygiene in their localities. The conference also designed to disseminate and improve uses of clean water and environmental hygiene facilities in Khmer communities.
