Deputy Secretary of Soc Trang provincial Party Committee Sơn Minh Thắng chaired a conference on August 19 to review the implementation of state policies on religious affairs and Khmer ethnic minorities in the province.
As reported at the conference, for the past years the local authorities have granted the certificate of land use rights for 31 religious establishments and creating favorable conditions for repair and restoration of 40 worshipping establishments.
Speaking the conference, Deputy Secretary Sơn Minh Thắng urged local authorities to enhance the state governance on ethnic and religious affairs, strengthen the unity bloc and actively engage with prestigious people in Khmer ethnic groups for social-economic development.
