The university of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ha Noi held on August 19 a seminar with the theme “Research of religious and belief life of Mong ethnic people and the implementation of policy on ethnicity and religion in the Northwest today”.
The seminar was presided by Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Kim and, Vice-Chancellor of University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ha Noi (Vietnam National University), and attended by representatives from concerning departments, central research institutions, the provincial religious committee for religious affairs in the Northwest region and several Mong scholars and researchers.
At the seminar, participants reviewed and discussed the Protestant development in the Mong ethnic community in the mountainous region of northern Vietnam. The seminar also made recommendations for improving the efficiency of state administration on Protestant affairs in the region and enhancing the coordination in solving issues relating to practices of Protestantism such as land and worshiping facilities./.
