The public security office of Quang Binh province’s Ba Don district has presented 400 life jackets and 400 hermits to residents of Con Se Catholic village during an exchange event held in April.
During the event, held in the local primary school with the aim to promote traffic safety and prevent drug addiction amongst villagers, the district public security also presented 40 scholarships to local children from poor families with excellent academic results, each scholarship worth one million VND.
Speaking during the exchange for promotion of traffic safety and prevention of drug addiction, Priest Head of Con Se parish Antonio Nguyễn Thanh Tịnh expressed his deep thanks to the security force of Ba Don district. The parish priest also asked the district security to help local parishioners in obtaining driver license, and Head of the district security force major Bùi Quang Thanh as well requested the provincial department for traffic and transportation for collaboration in opening a driving training-and-licensing class for residents of Con Se village.
Con Se village located in Ba Don district’s Quang Loc commune is an islet in Giang River. All residents of the village are followers of Catholicism.
