At the central level, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs implemented inspection of 42 legal documents relating belief and religion issued by Central agencies. Inspection results showed that these documents have effectively contributed to the state management on religious affairs; 10 documents have expired and been replaced by 4 new documents; 1 document is still in need of replacement.

During a period from May 30, 2014 to May 30, 2014, upon proposals made by the Government Committee for Religious Affair, the Ministry of Home Affair signed Decision No 1119/QĐ-BNV dated October 10, 2013 issuing the set of administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion, and Joint Circular No 04/2014/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV dated May 30, 2014 between the Ministry of Home Affair and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on guidance to implement the civilized styles in belief-related and religious establishments. It was found that the drafting and enacting process of these two documents have been in accordance with regulations of administrative competence, procedures and formalities, and proved to be practically effective.  

At the provincial-level, it’s reported that 40 out of 63 provinces and cities have completed the review of issued religion-related documents, and amongst 207 documents checked, there are 60 legal documents, including 10 Resolutions, 48 Decisions and 2 Instructions.

In addition, the Government Committee for Religious Affair directly carried out the inspection of issued legal documents regarding belief and religion in 6 provinces and cities of Hau Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa, as well as examined related documents sent from 40 out of 63 provinces and cities for review under its competence.
