Thai Nguyen provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Department of Natural Resources and Environment co-organized on November 04 a meeting with local religious organizations for launching a program on environmental protection and climate change.
During the event, religious organizations in the province signed a coordinating program on environmental protection and climate change adaptation for 2015-2020 period developed by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Speaking at the meeting, representatives of local religious organizations stressed the importance of environmental protection and climate change response and pledged to more actively encourage religious followers in protecting environment tied to sustainable livelihood improvement.
Concluding the conference, Chairman of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Đức Minh called on religious organizations in the province continue upholding fine traditions of religions and work closely together for ensuring effective implementation of the coordination program.
