A delegation of Quang Binh provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led by Chairman Tô Ngọc Hồng paid on August 21 a visit to Quan Am pagoda located in the province’s Bo Trach district ahead of the Vu Lan Day 2018.
Senior Venerable Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive board in Bo Trach district cum Abbot of Quan Am pagoda Thích Nguyên Tâm welcomed the delegation.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to Senior Venerable Thích Nguyên Tâm and local Buddhists on occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day, Chairman Tô Ngọc Hồng asked the senior venerable to promote his role in encouraging Buddhist followers in the locality to uphold fine traditions and make further contributions to the socio-economic development of the district.
