Chairman of Binh Duong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thịnh led on August 1-2 a delegation to visit Buddhist summer retreat schools (B.E. 2562) in the province.
The delegation visited four retreat schools based in pagodas of Hoi Khanh, Tay Thien, Thien Chon and Bo De Dao Trang where 748 Buddhist monks and nuns in the province are attending.
During the visits, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh extended best wishes to Buddhist monks and nuns and presented gifts to Buddhist courses.
During a welcoming reception held in Hoi Khanh pagoda, Most Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province Thích Huệ Thông took the chance to thank local authorities for creating favorable conditions extended to monks, nuns and Buddhist followers in the province over the past years.
