The religious affairs committee in Ca Mau province paid from December 17-21 visits to Catholic parishes, Protestant churches and congregations in the province on occasion of the Christmas festival.
During the visits, the provincial religious committee extended warm Christmas celebrations to Christian followers in the province and praised practical contributions made by local Catholics and Protestants for socio-economic development in the province.
The representative leaders of the religious committee also took the chance to brief the implementation of the Law on Belief & Religion 2016 and expressed hope that local Christian followers would continue proactively joining patriotic movements for social development launched in the locality.
Ca Mau province currently has 23 Catholic parishes, nine chapters of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (South) (ECVN) and 40 congregations under the ECVN, the Vietnam Baptist Church, the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church, the Vietnam Adventist Church and the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
