From September 29 to October 1st, 2014, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee held a religious – affair training conference for about 200 local officials from six districts having large numbers of Protestant followers residing in the province.
During three days conference, speakers from the Protestant Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Central Highlands Steering Committee and Quang Ngai provincial Committee for Religious Affairs delivers such contents as the Party and State’s policy and law on religion in general and Protestantism in particular; state policies for ethnic and religious unity; Protestantism in the world and Vietnam; religion in general and Protestantism in particular in Quang Ngai province; state managements for registered Protestant congregations and recognized Protestant local churches... Besides, at the conference participants engaged in a session for raising and discussing remaining problems or newly emerged issues relating to Protestantism in localities.
At the closing ceremony, leaders from the Protestant Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and Quang Ngai provincial Committee for Religious Affairs urged local participants to implement well Party and State policies and laws, create favorable conditions for Protestant followers to live “for better secular and religious life”.
