On August 26, at the office of the People’s Committee of Dien Ban district, the Quang Nam provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference to disseminate policies and laws on belief and religion for Buddhist clergies and deacons from establishments in districts of Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, Que Son, Dai Loc and Nam Giang.
At the conference, Mr. Phan Thọ, Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department, Chairman of Quang Nam provincial Committee for Religious Affairs shared with about 70 Buddhist clergies and deacons such contents as characteristics of religion in Vietnam, the consistent policy on respecting and safeguarding citizens’ right to freedom of belief and religion by the Party and State of Vietnam, religious equity in the existing laws, administrative procedures and formalities regarding certain religious affairs…
In particular, Mr. Phan Thọ introduced basic contents of the Government Decree 92/2012/NĐ-CP dated November 08, 2012 on detailing and providing measures for implementation of the Ordinance of Belief and Religion and the local regulation on administrative competence on religious and belief-related affairs in Quang Nam province issued by the Decision No 33/2013/QĐ-UBND of the provincial People’s Committee.
