On May 8, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee Trần Tiến Dũng led a delegation to visit and meet with dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2017- B.E. 2561.
During the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Trần Tiến Dũng extended best wishes to the VBS’s Executive Committee as well as Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2017. He also praised Buddhist dignitaries and followers for their contributions in social and charitable activities in the locality over the past time.
Welcoming the guests, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Tánh Nhiếp took the chance to thank local authorities for attentive support extended to Buddhist dignitaries and followers over the past time and pledged to continue encouraging and guiding followers to actively engage in local movements for boosting socio-economic development in the locality.
