Speaking at the reception, Lieutenant General Minister Tô Lâm praised the dignitaries and prestigious people of religions for their contributions to the ensuring of public security in the locality.

He also expressed his hope that religious dignitaries and prestigious people would continue to closely coordinate with local authorities and make practical contributions to the cause of building and developing the country in general and the province in particularly.

Speaking to the host, on behalf of the religious delegation, Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee Thích Thiện Tấn took the chance to thank the Ministry of Public Security for its attentive support. The Most Venerable also pledged to encourage followers of religions to make practical contributions to public order as well as the social-economic development in the locality.

Currently, Quang Tri province has three major religions of Buddhism, Protestantism and Catholicism, accounting for 15% of the provincial population.
