The provincial delegation led by Permanent Vice-Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee in Binh Duong province Nguyễn Hoàng Thao visited on May 16 the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), on the occasion of the 2563rd Buddha’s Birthday.
Receiving the provincial leader at the office of the provincial Buddhist Sangha based in Hoi An pagoda located in Binh Duong province were Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông, Deputy General Secretary of the central VBS cum Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee; Most Venerable Thích Tâm Từ, Member of the VBS’s Discernment Council; and dignitaries of the provincial VBS’s Standing Committee.
During the visit, Vice Secretary Nguyễn Hoàng Thao extended happy celebrations of the Buddha’s Birthday by Buddhists in the locality, and spoke highly of practical contributions made by Buddhists to social development in the province.
As reported, the provincial VBS has organized charitable programs for sending support to disadvantaged people in the locality worth of over 2.5 VND billion, on the occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2019.
